University of Iowa Homecoming 2009
Each year thousands of UI students, alumni, faculty and residents of Iowa City and surrounding communities come together for a week-long celebration of Hawkeye pride leading up to the Saturday Homecoming football game.
Working with the student-committee chosen theme "Black and Gold Never Gets Old" I illustrated a contemporary "Herky the Hawk" based on a historical variation of the mascot. The vintage theme I developed around the mascot was carried through to collectors buttons/t-shirts, posters, print and digital ads, and a themed website.
